The Pool / La piscine

The pool was installed in 2004. It is a double bubble shape is all one depth and measures 9 meters by 4.5 meters.

The pool stays in the sun all day, with the barn providing partial shade to the patio area from around 4pm. The pool is heated by the sun and will typically be around 26-28 degrees in July and August. The pool is in use between June and September each year - the rest of the time it is covered, and tree frogs move under the cover. Last year there were 12!

The pool is for the sole use of Gite guests although we do occasionally use it if guests go out for the day.

We have landscaped around the pool with a patio area and a grassed area. The landscaping and pool have been fenced according to the latest safety standards. Sun loungers and play equipment are provided. We clean the pool every morning and it is filtered all day, so keeping yucky bugs to a minimum.

La piscine a été installée en 2004. Elle est en forme de deux bulles de la même profondeur et mesure 9 mètres par 4,5.

La piscine est ensoleillée pendant toute la journée, avec de l’ombre partielle sur le patio à partir d’environ 16 heures l’après-midi. La piscine est chauffée par le soleil, et sa température est normalement de 26 à 28 degrés en juillet et août. La piscine est ouverte de juin à septembre – en dehors de cette période elle est bâchée, et la toile offre un abri aux rainettes pendant l’hiver. L’année dernière il y en avait 12!

La piscine est réservée à l’usage des hôtes de la gîte; ceci dit, nous l’utilisons de temps en temps lorsque les hôtes sont en excursions.

Nous avons aménagé le coin autour de la piscine avec un patio et une pelouse. Le tout est clôturé conformément aux règlements de sécurité. Des chaises longues et des jeux plein air sont fournis. La piscine est nettoyée tous les matins et l’eau est filtrée pendant toute la journée, afin de limiter au maximum les bestioles.
